GOD MOVES WHEN WE LEAST EXPECT HIM TO!!!

A WORSHIP SERVICE TESTIMONY... with HANNAH BASS

Testimony Date:  6-09-2016 - Written by Whit Bass

Yesterday was my 42 birthday and my family celebrated a swim party at my Aunt Karen's Home in Jonesville La.  We were all tired by the end of the day but I knew I needed to attend the local worship service.  Hannah really didn't want to go either because she wanted to stay longer to visit her cousins.

I was able to express to Hannah that I felt that she needed to attend these services with me.  She almost didn't go since her mother and younger sister decided they were too tired and they did not attend.  Hannah decided to go with me at the last minute.  We arrived a few minutes late around 6:50 p.m.  The service had begun at 6:30 p.m.  Not long after arriving Hannah turned to me and said, "I feel pain in my neck, I think I have a word of knowledge for someone who has pain here tonight."  We were sitting in a dark room and the room had a large crowd.  Probably 80-100 people were in attendance.

After the worship service was over Hannah and I joined a few other folks in prayer for quite a long time.  While we were praying in the hallway a group of young ladies walked passed us.  Hannah asked our group of 4, "Do any of you have pain in your neck/back area"?  They replied that they did not.  But one in our group said to us, "Maybe one of those young ladies that just passed by us has pain".  So we continued our time in prayer.

One of the men in our group followed through with the idea of asking the group of young ladies if any of them had pain.  He told me at the end of the night, "When I asked the ladies if any had pain no one said they had pain right away.  But I noticed this one young lady hesitate as if she wasn't sure if she should respond.  She finally said, "I have pain."  The man said,  "You need to find a young lady named Hannah Bass.  She wants to pray for you."  So someone pointed me out and the young lady came to me looking for Hannah.

Hannah came over as soon as I motioned her over.  Hannah and I walked with the young lady into the worship room.  Hannah explained to Brittney that she had been feeling pain in her neck since the service time and felt that God wanted to heal someone tonight with neck pain.  The young lady told us that she remembered us walking into worship and explained to us that she was sitting right in front of us in the room.  We didn't realize this.  This explanation explained Hannah feeling pain earlier in the night.  So, the young lady explained to us that she has felt pain in her neck that has been with her since age 13.  I had the privilege of praying with Hannah for this young lady.  After Hannah and I both prayed for her we asked her if she could check her neck pain.  She checked her pain level.  She had a look of amazement on her face and a huge smile as if to say... "How did you do this"?  All of the pain that she had felt since age 13 was no longer there.  In one moment all the PAIN was gone.   Hannah simply told the young lady that God loved her this much that he would allow Hannah to feel her pain and pray for her healing.

During Hannah's prayer, she mentioned the young lady having children.  So, after we prayed Hannah asked her, Do you have children.  The young lady confirmed that she did.  Hannah asked how many?  She said she had a boy and a girl.  Hannah asked her if her son enjoyed riding dirt bikes.  She said he did.  Hannah told her that she felt God wanted to use this hobby in her sons life to minister to others one day as he got older.  Hannah then asked her if her daughter dressed up dolls.  She confirmed this as well.  Hannah expressed to her that she felt her daughter may one day use this as a way to minister as well as she got older.  Specifically maybe in creating a business in this way.

This is also a picture of BOLDNESS!!!  My part was simply getting Hannah to attend the worship service.  Encouraging her to position herself.  If Hannah had gone home due to fatigue she would have missed out on being a wonderful blessing to this young lady.  We give all glory to Jesus Christ who redeems us and Holy Spirit who gives us our spiritual gifts to serve here on earth!!!

A testimony by Hannah :)

Hi guys! It’s Hannah here! I had seen a really cool miracle happen! I was at my sister’s ballet rehearsal for her recital, in the restroom and felt the lord speak to me to pray for someone with jaw pain! So I went out and saw all of these people sitting around at the rehearsal and felt like someone there had jaw pain. So I asked all of them (there were probably 6 or 7 people) if they had any pain or needed any prayer. All said no but there was one girl who allowed me to pray for her, I felt like she also needed to know how beautifully and wonderfully made she was and how much the lord really loved her, and emotionally, she looked beat up. So I prayed for her and she was kind of weirded out by it of course because we were in public. But at the very end she did seem like she appreciated it. So I did wonder why the lord would tell me someone had jaw pain and then nobody act like they had it. It didn’t make any sense to me and it honestly, kind of embarrassed me.

Soooo, I go to target with mom and encounter a very polite target worker, who tried to see if we needed anything, or any help. I felt lead to pray for her as well. So I went to her, and told her how much the lord loved her and if she needed any prayer for any physical, pain in her mouth (the jaw pain) or any pain in her back. Come to find out SHE DID. So I prayed for her mouth and when I was finished it was healed! No more pain. Isn’t God great? She was also really happy and appreciative of that and was very thankful. She was one person who DID have jaw pain!

So get this, I go back to the recital for Aarons actual event and a woman came to me (who was also in that group at the rehearsal time) and said that there WAS a guy who had jaw pain. He was just afraid to admit it. That’s when the lord was like “Don’t let people fool you. Sometimes the people who act like they have no issues are the ones who by far have the deepest issues.” So that’s when I realized I had nothing to be embarrassed about. When God tells you something, he isn’t lying otherwise he wouldn’t have told you to do it.

Project 41 Participant touched by God

Recently while teaching a biblical foundations class at Project 41, I had the opportunity to minister to one of the young ladies who has been struggling with how she sees Father God.  The reason that many of us struggle with how we relate to Father God has a direct correlation to how our Earthly Fathers raised us.  The young lady began to share with me how her father was a Vietnam veteran and how he was never really THERE for her as she grew up.  This unhealthy relationship between her and her Earthly Father has impacted her in how she sees Father God.  I asked her, “How do you see Father God”?  She responded that she saw Father God in a distant manner.  I told the young lady that we know that Father God loves you and that he is really not far away.  Lets renounce the lie that Father God is distant and far away from you.  We then prayed for her to forgive her earthly father for being distant and uninvolved in her life.

Once she renounced the lie and forgave her earthly father, we then moved toward the next step in prayer.  I said to her, ask Father God this question:  “Father God, what is the truth about the lie that you are distant, uninvolved and far way from me?”  We waited quietly until Father God answered her question.  Approximately 30 seconds to a minute later her Father God answered her prayer.  The young lady began to weep and sob.  She said, “I’m sitting in HIS lap.  HE is rocking me like a little girl.” I proceeded to tell her to press her head into HIS CHEST.  I then asked Father God to love on her and for MORE of HIS PRESENCE, LOVE AND GLORY to come over her.  Then she said, “I can feel HIS ROBE.  It’s very soft.”  At this point I just remained quiet and allowed her to have her moment with HEAVENLY FATHER.  WOW!!! This was such an amazing moment for Father God to remove the lie that HE was far away.  Father God did more in this one moment than what may have taken years otherwise.  Praise God!!!

Recent Lives that were touched

1.  Jay                                             Despair and Hopelessness

I received a phone call from a father to reach out to his son.  Jay had recently gone through a painful divorce.  Jay was depressed deeply and began to lean on alcohol use daily to numb the pain.  This left his faith in God on the back burner.  His final straw was getting a DWI.  I went the same day that I received this phone call to meet with Jay after I got off work at City of Faith.    I met with Jay in a public library that evening for about 2 hours the first meeting.  Then the next meeting we met for 3 and 1 ½ half hours at his home for a prayer intensive.  I prayed for him and for his home taking him through the Prayer Intensive.  Jay has been alcohol free and has not been depressed since our meeting and is now back on track walking in fellowship with the Lord.  I continue to meet with Jay on a monthly basis for prayer, support and accountability.

2.  Janie                                          Contemplation of Suicide

Ms. Janie was suicidal.  She was a client at a local Credit Union.  One of the employees at the credit union contacted me out of concern for Ms. Janie.  The Credit Union employee was concerned that Ms. Janie may be suicidal and harm herself.  She asked me to check on Ms. Janie.  When I called Ms. Janie to check on her she immediately began to weep.  She said, “You don’t realize just how timely your call was.  I was in a really dark place and was about to do something I would regret.”  I contacted my friend Mike Clark and Bubba Redding to assist me on a house visit to pray with Ms. Janie.  God powerfully touched Ms. Janie; she had been experiencing multiple health issues and back pain.  She was not able to work any longer for her employer due to her poor health and emotional wounds from a failed marriage, deceased parents, financial shortage, and a strained relationship with her son.  Mike paid Ms. Janie's conference fee to attend a Freedom and Fullness Seminar led by Dr. Henry Malone.  Ms. Janie has made huge strides.  I was able to help her find a new job as with an administrative position and she has been doing much better.  I continue to check on her and walk with her through her life journey.

3.  John                                             Alcohol Addiction

My meeting with John had immediate results.  While visiting with my friend John and his wife to share my vision about launching our new ministry, John’s wife noticed that I ministered to those who have addictions.  I had no idea that John had recently attended a rehab to help him overcome the addiction of alcohol and he had found no real success was this recent rehab visit.  After John and I spent one hour in prayer in his bedroom I left his home.  While we had spent an hour praying together I had placed my hand on the back part of John’s head.  As I was walking to my car John said, “Whit, I don’t know what you did but it still feels like your hand is sitting on my head” I called John back a week later to the day and I discovered this:  John said that his desire to drink alcohol went fully away. He had numerous offers from fellow hunters to drink alcohol that weekend immediately following our time together.  John had been working on his Duck Blind.  He also made a comment to me and said he continued to feel that hand imprint on his head for 2 full days following our prayer time.  I personally felt this was the presence of the Lord.  I know with certainty this was a visitation from the Lord!!
